What is Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Anyway? 

In this half-hour introductory talk, Professor Chris Wilmer will discuss the history and motivation behind Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, how they work, and a little about their possible future applications. Chris teaches in the engineering school at the University of Pittsburgh and is also a co-author of "Bitcoin for the Befuddled."

Mr. Wilmer will be participating virtually. Participants are welcome to join us at the library for a group viewing or attend virtually from home.
