Creative Family Art Night -Scratchboard Art

For children and their grown-ups to share creativity together. 

We will be drawing in reverse tonight! First, we will paint a thick white piece of paper with water colors. As it is drying, we will read Don Freeman's books, especially the Corduroy series. We will color over our water colored paper with black crayon. We will use a tool to scratch a picture exposing the color like Don Freeman.  We will also explore a few other ways to make scratch art! You will create a beautiful pieces of art together. Maybe you will want to frame some for your wall at home.
