Crazy 8's Season 3 - For children that have completed Season 1 and Season 2 of Crazy 8's Math Club

Weekly Sessions:

Light the Runway: Build your own airport, complete with finger-light airplanes and glowstick runways. Use your math skills to land all the planes without crashing!

Pixel-palooza: It’s hip to be a square! Create large pixelly pictures out of sticky notes! Dream up and plan out other creations and see if you can build them. 

Pirate Treasure Hunt: Map out coordinates to create a secret picture. Use your skills to find the treasure before the pirates do! 

UFO Landing: Now’s your chance to catch sight of a UFO! Fly paper airplanes to see whose travels farthest, then craft giant origami stars to see how they measure up. 

Stuffed Animal Swing: Ever wonder if you’re swinging higher or faster than your friends on the playground? You’ll put your stuffed animal friend to the test as we explore the math and science behind this favorite activity! 

Laser Maze Craze: Bounce a real laser beam off mirrors to get from one end of a maze to the other! You’ll also explore symmetry by seeing which letters can be formed by mirror image. 

Go Fifths: You’ll go fishing for fractions in this week’s under-the-sea adventure! We’ll play our own version of Go Fish, then become fractions of the whole group – while having a whole lot of fun. 

Venn There, Done That: We’re going in circles this week as we jump in and out of a giant Venn diagram based on our common and uncommon traits!
