Nature Explorers - Today only - South Fayette Library Patio   

Ages - 3–6-year-olds      

Ages 8-12 years

Each week we will focus on a different crafting technique.

For children entering 1st - 3rd grade in the fall  

This fun program will focus on worldwide STEM innovations and activities using inspiring STEM books. 

MUSIC STEM

For toddlers up to 36 months

Storytime, fingerplays, songs, and STEM exploration.  

Program will be held outdoors on the patio. In case of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the meeting room.

For ages 3.5 - 7 years  

Storytime Chess is a whimsical storytelling program designed to teach young children the fundamentals of chess.  

For ages 3.5 - 7 years  

Story Time Chess uses whimsical storytelling to teach children the game of chess.  

For entering grades 4-6th grade in the fall  

This fun program will focus on worldwide STEM innovations and activities using inspiring STEM books. 

MUSIC STEM

For children ages 3.5 - 7   

Level 3 teaches Piece Valuation and Sportsmanship.   Children should know how the pieces like to move and have completed Level 2 before signing up for this level.  

For Adults

Join us for a friendly game of SCRABBLE and connect with members of your community while having fun!

For children starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Session 5 will focus on identifying numbers 1-10 and solving simple addition & subtraction problems.

Children entering Kindergarten - 2nd grade in the Fall.  

Crazy 8s is a member of the Bedtime Math family and has activities that enable kids to enjoy math in fun ways!  

Children may play either Fortnite or Minecraft.

For ages 4-7 - Must have completed Levels 1 and 2 (and preferably Level 3)

Piece Mobility + Notation - This program emphasizes piece mobility and teaches students how to record a chess game using algebraic notation.

Ages up to 12 years

Come build with Legos 

Children 5 and under need to have an adult with them in the program room. Children 7 and under must have an adult on the property.

For ages 4-8 who understand the basics of chess

Attacking and Defending

Lessons about offensive and defensive strategies accompany an exciting story series about grit, perseverance, and visualizing moves on the board.

We are partnering with Judith Atzler of The Steeping Leaf who will teach us how to make a simple soap with a decorative mold.
