Storytime Chess is a whimsical storytelling program designed to teach young children the fundamentals of chess.

Level 3 teaches Piece Valuation and Sportsmanship.   Children should know how the pieces like to move and have completed Level 2 before signing up for this level.  

For ages 4-7 - Must have completed Levels 1 and 2 (and preferably Level 3)

Piece Mobility + Notation - This program emphasizes piece mobility and teaches students how to record a chess game using algebraic notation.

Join us on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month in the afternoon for a free showing of a recent DVD release. No registration is required.

Crazy 8s is a member of the Bedtime Math family and has activities that enable kids to enjoy math in fun ways!

Children 5 and under need to have an adult with them in the program room. Children 7 and under must have an adult on the property.

South Fayette Township Library Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the large meeting room, adjacent to the library, unless otherwise noted. Meetings are open to the public.

We are partnering with Judith Atzler of The Steeping Leaf who will teach us how to make a simple soap with a decorative mold. 

Cost: $25/person. Please pay online, or at the circulation desk.

For toddlers up to 36 months

Storytime, fingerplays, songs, and STEM exploration.  

Program will be held outdoors on the patio. In case of inclement weather, the program will move indoors to the meeting room.

For children starting Kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Session 5 will focus on identifying numbers 1-10 and solving simple addition & subtraction problems.

You must bring your own mobile device. Please make sure it has the latest updates as Fortnite takes a LONG time to update on our wifi.
